Residency Requirements
Village at Lakewest is an affordable housing community that participates in federally assisted housing programs.
In accordance with the Land Use Restriction Agreement (LURA), at least 80% of occupied apartments must have at least one resident who is 55 years of age or older.
Applicants must also meet the income and eligibility requirements established by the program. Household income may include employment income, Social Security, SSI, pensions, retirement income, interest, dividends, and other qualifying sources. Rent is based on adjusted household income as determined by program guidelines.

Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for residency, applicants must:
- Meet the age requirements established by the community and applicable housing regulations.
- Meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the Tenant Selection Plan.
- Meet applicable household income limits established by the program.
- Successfully complete the application and eligibility verification process.
How to Apply
Village at Lakewest receives applicant referrals through the Dallas Housing Authority (DHA) waiting list in accordance with program requirements.
Individuals interested in becoming a resident should apply through the Dallas Housing Authority. Once a referral is received from DHA, our Admissions team will work with the applicant to complete the eligibility verification and admission process.
